Protebond is Protec’s premium quality, specialized multi-purpose bonding agent, engineered to maximize adhesion and cohesion in all cementitious works.

Waterproofing of roofs.

Subsequent waterproofing of basements.

Application instructions

Substrate Requirement

  • Even-surfaced, mineral substrate.
  • Clean, dust-free, and capable of supporting a load.
  • Prepare concrete substrates at wall/base transition areas
  • By means of mechanical material removal.

Direction

  • Ready to use, straight from the container.
  • Remove any dried material adhering to the edge of the bucket.
  • Apply the product on the previously prepared substrate.
  • If a reinforcement fabric is required, embed into waterproofing layer

Disposal

  • larger quantities of leftover product should be disposed of in the original containers in accordance with the applicable regulations.
  • Do not dispose of together with household waste.
  • Do not allow to enter the sewage system.

Application Rate

  • Approx. 1 lit/m² per mm of thickness.
  • The consumption figures indicated are for a seamless film on a flat surface and are higher if applied on uneven substrates

Tools/Cleaning

  • Scoop, smoothing trowel, layer thickness trowel.
  • Clean tools immediately after use with water.
  • Remove dried-on material using V 101 Thinner (0978)

Substrate Preparation

  • Remove debris and mortar remains from the surface.
  • Application of chemical (Penetrative Waterproofing) around the corners and at pipe penetrations.
  • Note: Penetrative Waterproofing Chemical is a permanent waterproofing system which penetrates the substrate.
  • Close indentations and cracks with mortar after treating it with chemical (Penetrative Waterproofing).
  • Smooth out inner corners using a suitable mineral mortar
